Inducing Lactation for Adoption Or Surrogacy

Did you know that adoptive and surrogacy parents can breastfeed their newborns?

Choosing to breastfeed your baby can be a significant and nurturing experience. For parents adding to their families through adoption or surrogacy, induced lactation can offer an extraordinary opportunity to build closeness, connection, and bonding from the very beginning.

How Inducing Lactation Works

Inducing lactation does require commitment. It involves consistent breast stimulation, a regular schedule, and ideally the support of a partner, friend, or loved one. While the process can be time-intensive, many parents find the emotional rewards well worth the effort.

To begin inducing lactation as a non-pregnant (non-gravid) individual, it’s recommended to start your protocol at least two months before your baby arrives. This process typically includes frequent pumping, manual expression, and the use of herbal supplements. Milk Herbs has created a gentle and effective induction protocol to guide you through each step. Patience, consistency, and support are key.

Below you’ll find our two proprietary lactation blends. We also offer a complete Induction Kit, which includes a breast pump, a two-month supply of your chosen herbal blend, and additional supportive tools to help you on your journey.

Milk Herbs is honored to support you as you prepare for this beautiful chapter.
